What you’ll do.

  • Own and develop Enline’s career development, goal-setting and performance management frameworks, including career paths and progression criteria, goal-setting cycles, regular performance reviews and development plans for employees.
  • Own the full recruitment process: write and publish job ads, screen CVs, coordinate and run interviews, and support salary negotiations and offer decisions.
  • Draft and manage contracts and related correspondence, including employment contracts, service agreements, agency and business development agreements, amendments, termination agreements and NDAs, for both national and international hires.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding, including documentation, coordination of system access and tracking of the employee lifecycle.
  • Work with external legal counsel (in Portugal and other jurisdictions) to assess contractual and employment risks, especially in international hiring, contractor relationships and terminations.
  • Lead salary reviews and adjustments, working with managers to define salary bands, role scope and benchmarking.
  • Manage day-to-day HR operations and compliance, including communication with public authorities and social security institutions, coordination of occupational health and safety appointments, inspections and insurance (including for employees abroad), support for training needs assessments and budgets, and upkeep of master data, personnel files, contracts, holiday and absence records and performance records.
  • Manage and support applications to public funding programmes for hiring and training (for example IEFP, PRR, internship and innovation programmes), including documentation, deadlines and reporting.
  • Provide data and support for payroll, tax and social security audits.

What we’re looking for.

  • Degree in Human Resources, Law, Management, Psychology or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of progressive HR experience, with a solid track record in a generalist or HR Partner role.
  • Solid knowledge of the Portuguese Labour Code and of HR compliance practices in Portugal.
  • Proven experience in startups or scaleups with remote, distributed and international teams, and comfortable working in dynamic, evolving environments with little structure.
  • Hands-on experience managing employment contracts and service agreements, including international hires.
  • Experience working with external legal counsel and public authorities (for example Social Security, ACT, IEFP) on employment and compliance matters.
  • Familiarity with HR management platforms (for example Sesame HR or similar) for time tracking, holiday management and personnel files.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication in Portuguese and English; Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, discretion and sound judgement when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage several processes at once (recruitment, contracts, compliance, international matters) with minimal supervision.

Nice to have.

  • Specific experience in the energy, power systems or deeptech and engineering sectors.
  • Training or solid knowledge of international employment and contractor compliance (for example tax residency, double taxation treaties, coordination of social security systems between countries).
  • Experience working with legal counsel on drafting contracts and mitigating risk across several jurisdictions.
  • Previous experience in a company in rapid international expansion or going through significant organisational change.
  • Fluent Spanish, in addition to Portuguese and English.
  • Comfortable using AI tools to support HR processes, such as drafting documents, screening candidates or documenting processes.
